So here we are. It’s time to put our money where our mouth is (or insert other generic “follow through” cliche). This blog is completely pointless if we’re not doing anything to help meet others’ needs. Tulsa Hospitality House has such a huge variety of needs that almost anybody can get involved somehow. They are completely dependent on donations so they can keep operating. They have a list of items that they frequently cycle through posted up on their site. If you like to cook, they have the “Meals of Love” program where volunteers bring home-cooked meals to the residents. As you saw in the “New Facilities” video, they are going to be doing a ton of remodeling for their new building, and will likely need manual labor to help get it ready. Whatever your skills are, I’m sure they could benefit from them somehow.

We will be hosting our first “Serve-Up” (service meet-up) at the Hospitality House sometime in the late summer. We’ll be posting dates as soon as we determine what is needed. If you like what they’re doing, but live too far away to help them out, check out the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses to find one in your area.
